CODE OF CONDUCT
This is a living document & as such will continue to be developed over time.
The Golden Rule
All guild members are expected to treat one another with respect. We are all on the same team working towards the same goal & we are expected to support one another without fail. We should also extend the same level of respect to others outside of our guild as your interaction with people outside of our guild will shape the way other people view our guild as a whole.
User of Public Notes
The use of public notes in the in-game guild interface will be restricted to the use of the guild. The notes will be used to signify guild officer positions (i.e., Druid Class Leader, Recruiting Officer, etc.), to designate a character as an alt of a specific person (i.e., Alt of Arctodus) or used by the guild officers to keep track of administrative duties. Any other notes found in this section will be promptly deleted.
Unacceptable Character Names
Any name that could be taken as offensive, rude, etc. will not be allowed into our guild.
GUILD COMMUNICATIONS
As a member of our guild, we expect you to actively participate with other members of our guild both in & out of game. These are the primary means of communication that our guild uses to build a sense of community amongst its members.
Guild Website & Forums
The guild website & forums are the primary means of communication for our guild. All members must register on our forums under their main character's in-game name. Guild members are advised to visit the forums daily to ensure that they stay up to date with all guild related activities. All guild events, news & information will be posted on the guild website, in the forums or through the Group Calendar addon.
Voice Chat
The guild uses the voice chat program, Ventrilo. You can download the latest version of Ventrilo here. Guild members are expected to log in to the Ventrilo server on a regular basis to interact with other members of the guild. Any guild member wishing to participate in raids will be required to have Ventrilo to allow for easy communication during the raid or other guild event. We also suggest that you download the following Voice Overlay program to work alongside with Ventrilo. This program allows you to "see" on your screen who is talking in the Ventrilo server while you are in-game. The latest version of the Voice Overlay program can be found here.
Instant Messenger
The guild uses Xfire as its primary instant messenger program. Xfire is a free gaming tool that automatically keeps track of when and where gamers are playing PC games online and lets their friends join them easily. It doesn't matter which online game your friends are playing, which server browser they are using, or which gaming service they're playing on; Xfire is intelligent enough to recognize where your friends are at any time. It's a great way to see what your friends are playing and it makes it especially easy to join in when they are playing an online game. It can also serve are your basic IM service as well. The latest version of the XFire program can be found here.
